30 April 2010 IS IT MANDATORY FOR COMPANIES TO ISSUE HARD COPIES OF TDS CERTIFICATES TO EMPLOYEES , CONTRACTORS ETC. OR IS IT POSSIBLE TO ISSUE SOFT COPIES OF TDS CERTIFICATES CONTAINS DIGITAL SIGNATURES OF DEDUCTOR

30 April 2010 please refer circular no.2/2007 dt.21.5.2007. Option to certify tds certificates by digital signature. It can be done

30 April 2010 In terms of the referred Circular, digitally signed certificate can be issued to employees only, ie. form 16(TDS on salaries).

Certificates for deduction from other heads has to be manually signed.
