16 November 2013 Dear Sir,

One of my client is a banking company. He has deducted Tax on INterest, But he could not issued TDS Certificate. Party suit filed against the bank in consumer court. Plz give reference we can give in favour of the Bank.

18 November 2013 non-issuance of TDS certificate is a violation under income -tax act. I am not sure if consumer court can hear this matter. Kindly take a legal opinion on the validity of the suit filed in consumer court.
