For salaried employee first calculate Gross total income and then tax there on for whole year. than divide the tax by 12 months for monthly TDS purpose.

First of all calculate Gross total income including any other income reported by employee and then calculate tax on total income. After that calculate average rate of tax which should be deducted on monthly basis.
