Can anyone advice me regarding the applicability of the TDS on the freight & cartage?

Sec 194C, No need to deduct Tds on freight paid for gooda carriage if the transporter has PAN w.e.f 01.10.2009 otherwise TDS rate 1s 1% if the recipient is individual/huf and 2 % for others.

Yes only is this case of If Transporter who has a goods carriage transport quote Pan to Supplier/Party.No TDS applicable other as per Mr.Sanjay says 1% and 2% rates are avaialble
