TDS -Appeal

07 June 2011 Dear Sir/Madam,

We recieved the TDS order u/s 201(1A) and demand notice u/s 156.

We required to appeal for some of the issues but we have a register office in Chennai and our income tax jurisdication also in chennai.

But we have various TAN numbers based on various our branches in chennai.

Please suggest me, where to file an appeal according to the jurisdication of PAN or TAN.

Please consider the below points also.

While paying the Appeal Fees , we are required to pay on PAN bases only.

Form No-35 asks only the PAN not a TAN.

Please sugguest in this regards

08 June 2011 Please see the demand notice, there the authority for appeal must be mentioned. Technically it would be accoridng to the jurisdiction of TAN and not PAN.
