Hello,
There is a Logistic Company which takes service tax input for the rent expenses of the corporate office. The company deducts tax at source on rent expenses including service tax input. Is it correct as per provisions of TDS?
Pls also reply with the applicable notification.

TDS on rent should be applied only on the rent portion (excluding service tax).
