24 September 2010 Whether interest u/s 200 is payable on TDS deposit on 8th day of next month if 6th and 7th is gazetted holiday in 2008 and payment cannot be made through electronically.

As the TDS amount is very big deposit on 8th of next month assessing officer has raised demand for interest.
