Good evening.

In our Organization pertaining to 'Tds' esp. in Form 16 some of the employees have received 'Balance Tax payable/refund:-' 0.40 ps.; Re. 1; Re. 1.40 ps. which means 'Do they need to pay to I.Tax dept. (or) can they ignore it ?

As per your statement please confirm my understanding as Well as solve the Query:-

Are you mentioning Rs.1 (or) Rs.10 ?

Suppose if you have mentioned Rs.1 what about Rs.1.40 ps. Do we need to pay ? and If not paying does the 'I.T Dept.' will raise any demand notice ? Or any other consequences the employee has to face ?
