18 July 2015 Sir/Madam,
I earned some interest income on FDR in FY 2013-14 and on which bank deducted TDS.
My total income was less than exempt income limit.
So i didnot file my return to claim refund of TDS deducted. Now i want to claim.
Pls advice me-
1. Can i claim TDS refund of FY 2013-14 in FY 2014-15 e.i. current year. Or
2. Whether belated return is required to file for FY 2013-14 to claim refund of TDS.

My another query is whether tds certificate no. is necessary to file return?

19 July 2015 Yes you can file the itr for the ay 2014-15 (fy2013-14) and claim the TDs refund

19 July 2015 No certificate no. is not required to be mentioned in ITR but respective financial year is required to be mentioned in TDS Schedule say for the financial year 2013-14; 2013 should be entered.

19 July 2015 It means i can claim tds refund of FY 2013-14 in current year return (FY 2014-15) as tds brought forward.
Pl confirm.

02 August 2015 refund can be filed for FY 13-14 and FY 14-15, till 31.03.2015 respectively. No TDS No is required.
Ascertain from 26AS whether TDS entries in your name are appearing or not before filling return.
