15 July 2009 I am a woman and my professional fees is Rs.15,000/- per month do I fall under tax deduction if yes then what percentage ?

15 July 2009 Mam,
If your Taxable Income for the year do not exceeds Rs 190000/-, then you are not into the tax bracket and no tax will be deducted from your income.

If it exceeds, then upto Rs 300000/-,
excess of 190000/- will be taxed @ 10%
