Hi Sir,
We're paying the amount of Rs. 67416 (Included ST) to The Air Cargo Association of India t/w Subscription charges.
Pls confirm Whether TDS is applicable for this payment.

One Additional subscription equivalent to the amount of annual subscription paid/payable by all the active and associate members of the Association for the financial year 2014-15.

if it is in relation to some annual industry related publication then no tds is applicable.

Service Tax charged or not is not the criteria. Service Tax is charged on telephone bill too but TDS is not deducted.
The main point is that the said payment do not attract any TDS provision.

Service tax is chareged as it is applicable in this case and tds and service tax are 2 different taxation aspect and in this case service tax is correctly charged but no tds should be deducted.
