29 January 2015 Dear expert.
we have given donation RS. 10000/- to Private trust. and also given some blanket cost rs. 4000/- my queries is. can i get exemption on both rs 10000/- as well as on blanket also rs 4000/-

Only donations made in cash or cheque are eligible for deductions. Donations made in kind, in the form of food, clothing, medicines etc are not eligible u/s 80G.

29 January 2015 sir. as per 80G. donation given cash to any privete trust is deductable if yes what is procedure payment 10000/- made in cash for donation. should i take the acknowledgment and what contain is mandatory in acknowledgment to get exemption..
