whether TDS is deductible u/s 194c on payment of trasportaion charges

By virtue of Sec.194C(6) Nil tds applicable on payment of transportation charges to transporter who engaged in the business of carriage of goods in his normal course of busniess

However to do this you have to obtain your transporter pan card copy and also mandatory to provide details of transporter in TDS return mandatorily vide ammended rule 31A
