16 October 2012 U/s 194C, Tds is not applicable in the case of payments made to Transporter provided that LR or Bill contain PAN number, if PAN is not quoted over the docuemnets Tds will be @ 20%, Since Tds is not deducted on payment made to transporter however it has to shown in quarterly TDS return -showing TDS nil
