07 February 2011 Respected sir,
I am an individual and have a Muthukuvial Deposit in a Bank.For senior citizen the bank is offering 1.5% more and hence i have closed and renew the deposit in my name including my grand mother name,the interest and tds from that deposit account is accounted in my account but the bank give the tds certificate in my grand mother name but as per the 26as tds was credited to my grand mother account.

My Query is that what will be the treatment for this?

I require urgent reply please do reply me at the early............

07 February 2011 You have included your grand mother's name as senior citizen.

But Bankers are right in taking grand mother as the first holder paying an extra 1.5% Interest.
So here, Grand mother has included you.

You can file the return of Grand Mother and claim the refund.
