Taxation of foreign income.

17 July 2014 I am a CA Intern. I have a client who is earning foreign Salary from an UK based Firm. He left India for the purpose of employment on 10.10.2013 and has been receiving salary since October. Since he had left India for the 1st time and his stay in India exceeds 182 days, he is now an Indian resident for the respective P.Y 2013-14.

I want to know is there any way out so that his income which is earned abroad does not gets taxable in India.

Kindly guide me regarding the matter as soon as possible since the date of 31/07/2014 is nearing.

17 July 2014 check his investments made and also any taxes paid outside india without full info how can any1 guide u.

17 July 2014 Sir, there has been no investments. He has received salary from Oct-Jan in his bank account in India and for Feb & March through NRE account. No taxes is paid outside India as well.

17 July 2014 if rec in india then its taxable and if it was recvd outside india still taxable for resident indian.
