Taxability of temporary rent from business office

23 December 2014 DEAR SIR,
I HAVE LET OUT MY BUSINESS OFFICE ON TEMPORARY BASIS. CONSEQUENTLY, I HAVE RECEIVED RENT FROM TANENT. SUGGEST ME WHETHER IT IS TAXABLE UNDER THE HEAD BUSINESS AND PROFESSION OR OTHER SOURSE.

23 December 2014 It is taxable under income from house property. Also, expenses directly attributable to such income need to be disallowed from Profits and Gains from Business and Profession head.
