24 August 2012 At the time of filing Return(ITR 4) I wrote 'yes' for direct deposit to bank of my income tax refund.But my bank branch is not in any metropoliton city.In this case will Income Tax Deptt issue a cheque of refund?Can anyone please advise me what to do.

24 August 2012 the bank need not be in any metro city. It should be covered under CBS. (Another check point is after clicking YES for ECS, had you not put MICR, the return would not have been validated.)This is for e filing. If you have filed the same manually/physically... the dept issues cheque.
