Tax on agricultural land

Sir,
on construction of dam near my viilage my father agricultural land was compulsory acquisition by government of Gujarat. on above we get compensation of Rs 12,00,000 from them, but on that amount they had deducted TDS @ 20% and they provided us TDS Certificate but on same there was no PAN No of my father. so sir we request you that pls help us and tell us to how tds recover from Government.

First check is TDS credit available to your father on his pan no by verifying Form 26AS.if the credit available i.e TDS issued certificate amount as well as form 26AS showing amount is same then file income tax return and claim TDS refund.
How to verify form 26AS:
1) open www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in
2) Register pan no by clicking New user at the login window.(if already not registered)
3) Then login into site using pan no and password.
4) select option My Account and choose View tax credit Statement(form 26AS) and then enter Date of Birth and select Assessment Year and then proceed for next steps. Then Form 26AS statement will display then check.
If the TDS amount showing in such statement then only you will get the refund otherwise you didn't get the refund of TDS amount. However consult any Auditor he will give you suggestions based on on the case and situation.

Then you shall not get the TDS refund. However contact auditor he may help you if any chances to get back the TDS refund.
