indirect Tax payment after 8 PM
will be counted on the next day payment.

09 January 2016 After 8pm certain banks are generating challans of the same date.
SBI is accepting the payment after 8pm but challan is generated on the next day. The date of challan is treated as the date of payment.

As per RBI regulations the online payment made after 8pm will be considered on next date.
Hence it will be considered on next day irrespective it is direct tax or indirect tax.
