Sayan Gupta (Expert)
15 March 2018 There are certain conditions to be fulfilled to claim ITC. One of them is, If invoice or debit note is received after:

1. the due date of filing return for September of next financial year
or
2. filing annual return (whichever is later)
No ITC will be allowed

30 October 2026 A late invoice by itself does not bar ITC; under current law the limit is 30 November following the end of the FY to which the invoice relates (Sec 16(4)), and the invoice must appear in your GSTR-2B, while the supplier bears interest or penalty for issuing it late.
