06 March 2024 One of my relative is working as a housekeeper as a domestic worker and is receiving salary around 35K. (Rs 4.20 Lakhs) which is below taxable limit. what will be tax implication if he gets gift of Rs 2 lakhs rupees from his employer. Being domestic worker he is not filing any returns

No need to file ITR in such a case where such payments are not intimated to income tax.
