29 February 2020 If i take a education loan from my Friend and paid him Interest. Can I take the Tax Benefit u/s section 80 E of Income Tax.

29 February 2020 No. Loan should be from bank /financial institutions to avail deduction for interest u/s 80E

01 March 2020 No. Interest on Loan from friend is not covered under 80E. Loan should have been from a scheduled bank or charitable institution.
