25 July 2011 sir,
i am lottery commission agent. I just sale online lottery my turnover is above 60 lakhs i got commission 3% ie. 1.8 lakhs. can i am under tax audit. (my turnover is just online selling the lottery i am not purchasing it, the said lottery is of sikkim government, complot company is agent who sales the lottery through various terminals).
please reply me as early as possible

25 July 2011 Your commission income is Rs. 1.80 Lacs.
Have you got TDS certificate as tax must have been deducted on the commission.

Secondly, can you show that you are an agent
of the Sikkim Govt. Whether any license, agreement or such evidential material so as to show that you are just an agent only and not a dealer.

You will not require to get your accounts audited if you can show so.
