Hello,
I had applied for a TAN one month ago, but the same has not been alloted till now.Please tell me what can i do in this case and also whether we have to pay penalty if we file TDS return after due date, due to non-availability of TAN?

I had already tried both.Status shows from last 15 days as under process under IT office, and on phone they are saying wait for 3-4 days from last 3 times.

One more thing, after allotment of TAN whether we have to pay penalty for late filing of TDS return, as we was unable to file same without TAN.
