Dear All
We use TALLY 9ERP for trading business deal in mobile purchase and sale also maintain stock of various items of mobile in TALLY 9ERP. We also purchase and sale some shares for investment purpose (appear in investment head in balance sheet). How we maintain or track record of quantity of share of investment?

Maintain a separate group of item say Shares & Securities, and create ledgers for each shares of diff. companies also while creating ledger keep Yes on maintaing qty details.

On following your procedure value of Share and securities will clubbed with closing stock of Mobile phone of business in P/L of Tally which will increase gross profit, which should not? Value of Share and securities should in Investment.

while creating ledger for shares investment, you should keep it under investments group then it will be not included in stock value under P&L.
