22 July 2011 Dear Collegues,
AO has asked for last three years TALLY soft copy during A.Y.09.10 assessment proceedings.
Did any one face this kind of problem?

22 July 2011 In spite of giving soft copies, you can produce the Hard Copies of books of account.
with the ledger copies of the relevant accounts for the purpose of his record.

Department can not retain Books of Account even Search & Seizure cases beyond the prescribed period of time.

The demand of A O is highly excessive and you can politely refuse for the same.
