Assessee has refund for a.y. 2006-07.What are the time limit for claiming refund?

The claim for refund should be made within one year from the last day of the assessment year. So time ,by filing return,expired on 31/3/2008. However belated claim,as in your case, can be filed with prior approval from Commissioner/Chief Commissioner/ Director General of Income Tax as the case may be.
