An assessee have taken his service tax registration manually and now he wants to surrender one of his service. what all are the steps to be followed?

Dear Sunand,
Write a letter to service tax dept (jurisdiction officer) and submit ST-2 original copy along with last 3 years returns in dept and take a surrender receipt of service tax letter for your records.
If AO or ST Dept not accept it. Apply for online user id & password then cancle it online.
