Please, tell me about the procedures for cancellation / surrender of Service tax registration certificate. What all enclosures are required to be submitted along with such application ?

Every registered assessee ,who ceases to provide the taxable service for which he is registered shall surrender his registration certificate immediately to the superintendent of central excise RULE 4(7)

For surrender of ST Registration, please visit https://www.aces.gov.in
1) Log on with ID & Password, then see "REG" tab, click on "SURRENDER" option.
2)Fill the last column's in the displayed ST-2 and click submit.
3)Once online surrendering is done, take a print out and submit to jurisdictional ST Range with Original ST-2 with a covering letter.
