25 February 2013 What is Sumptuary Allowance?? To whom is it applicable?? Which Section of Income Tax, 1961 deals with Sumptuary Allowance??

It is paid to Ministers, Prime Ministers, Judges of High Court & other such individuals working on honorary posts.

In hindi its called "Satkar Bhattha"

It is not to include in Gross Salary u/s 10 hence not taxable.
