Submission of tax audir report

17 May 2013 the audit report for f. y. 2012-13 is to submitted online alongwith return. suppose audit is completed before due date but return is pending for some reason. what will be the due date for filing of audit report?

17 May 2013 Section 44AB provides that the audit report has to be submitted on or before the due date of filing the return. If the return is not filed by the due date, the due date for filing audit report will not be extended.

Penalty u/s 271B shall be levied if the audit report is filed AFTER the due date.

17 May 2013 The audit report is to be filed by CA separately by using his login password as CA. The Audit report 3CD can be filed without the balance sheet. The reply isgiven on assumption that balance sheet is final and audit report is also finalised but return is pending, because audit report is report on the balance sheet.
