Whether stipend recd. as article assistant is taxable?

kindly let me to know the limit, if it is exceed spec ified limit it is taxable.

Stipend received by an articled assistant is tax free. Citation- Sudhirkumar Sharma Vs.ITO(1983)17 TTJ(Jp-Tri)228.
