Statutory meeting

This query is : Resolved

30 September 2014 in company act 2013 statutory meeting omission or not

30 September 2014 The concept of Statutory Meeting has been dropped under the companies act, 2013.

However a public limited company incorporated & received certificate of commencement of business (CCOB) before 31st March, 2014, is required to hold its statutory meeting as per the provisions of the companies Act, 1956 because at that time the provisions of the section 165 were in force.

04 October 2014 Yes position of section 165 has not been clarified in companies act 2013. So technically the concept and requirement is still there.

I would suggest you to seek clarification from ROC in this regard.

Thanks
