we are planning to set up a branch office in Bangalore. Head office is situated in Mumbai. what is the procedure to set up a branch doing the same business as of that in Mumbai?
could anyone please help me?

Get the branch registered under Karnataka Shops and Establishment Act.
Depending upon your nature of business, you need to see if KVAT is applicable or SERVICE tax is applicable. And accordingly you need to get the registrations under the applicable acts.

Thank you Amol. i have a few doubts
1. Do we need to register for a pan here
2. Do we need to get DIN and TAN
3. Do we need to produce any other documents relating registration?
i will be really greatful if you could help me with this.

01. No. PAN is not to be applied for. One PAN across.....
02. You may be required to take TAN as per the nature and transactions of your branch at Bengaluru
03. DIN is not required to be taken.
