I have a stamp paper which was bought from Gujarat (not Mumbai).
However, I made my rent agreement here in Mumbai on that stamp paper as I reside and work here.
Will it work or will I have to buy a new stamp paer in Mumbai itself.

Please advice.

13 May 2012 Stamp Paper purchased from another state can be used in Mumbai. There is no such restriction on the basis of State.

You have to follow the applicable rules in the state, as regards the value of the stamp to be used.
