pls let me know whether stamp duty is payable as per the Indian Stamp Act, 1899 or State acts in case of states having there own Stamp Act?

also can u pls tell how many and which states in india have there own stamp act that they follow?

pls reply on urgent basis.

13 November 2013 Generally Indian Stamp Act will applicable where State Stamp Act is silent or no provision in state stamp act is given on that matter.
