St on transport of passenger

We are public sector Company. We had given contract to Transport company runed by state govt. for our employees pickup and drop from diff point to factory and return. Whether this transaction comes under service tax net?

If transport company is registered as a pvt. ltd. company then recipient have not liable to pay service tax under reverse charge system. other wise you need to pay service tax.

contract given to KARNATAKA STATE ROAD TRANSPORT CORPORATION its a karnataka state govt undertaking. whether its liable or not.

In respect of services provided or agreed to be provided by government or local authority will come under reverse charge system under notification No. 30/2012-ST. You need to pay service tax.
