Hi All,
As per Budget 2010-11, service tax to be paid on the sponsorhip of sport activities.
The budget is applicable since July 2010.
Is it necessary to pay service tax prior July 2010 and for the years 2009 etc?

No. The charge is on services provided on or after 1.7.2010.

no, ST not to be paid for rendered service tax prior July 2010irrespective of time of payment.
