I get Special Allowance of Rs 2,836 pm as per terms of my appointment letter.
Background: I am professor pursuing PhD program and teaching in MBA college at GRTr Noida.
Question: Can I take exemption of this amount in Income Tax. If yes , how much max limit?

As I think, there is no such relief to a tax payer for the amount being received from his employer. It will be taxable.
