Can anyone throw some light on registration and formation of a Society, under the Societies Registration Act,1860 in Kolkata. Like what are the documents required, costs involved and statutory dues to be complied.

Instead form a trust under indian trust act, In the good old days, both the activities were covered under 1860 Act.(Society as well as trust)Now for formation of society, we have a separate Act.

Make a trust deed. Get it registered.Then approach the charity commissioneer of the proper jurisdiction. They will issue the requisite F certificate
