17 July 2012 Hi, I am working as DVP in IndusInd Bank having around 12 years of experience in Banking. Am thinking of doing CA. As per the rules, i can go Uptil IPCC alongwith my job but post that i will have to leave job to go for articleship. Please suggest is there any other option through which i can complete CA without leaving the Job. If no, should i leave job to go for it. Thanks

18 July 2012 First of al u have to appear for CPT exam coz no circular has yet come for exemption of CPT for graduate candidates, after dt u wl have to appear for IPCC n after clearing group 1 of IPCC u can undergo articleship under a Practicing CA.
So before enrolment,first confirm from ICAI for details of exemption of articleship given to students, who have worked on the subjects of CA course.
N Pls dunt leave ur job for the sake of CA if ur training wil not be exempted coz it needs minimum 5 yrs to complete if u clear all the exams in 1st attempt.
For alternative I wud suggest u to go for MBA from Symbiosis, Pune OR from IGNOU both are distance learning.
