17 July 2013 This is basic registration and permission, which you are seeking to run the business in the particular place. It is like licence getting from local authorities.

Non registration will attract penalty etc. based on the shop & establishment act of the state

it means
the business must be registered under the S&E Act.
then can it be said Professionals are not required to get registered ?

or whether company is required to get registration ?

18 July 2013 Either Business or Profession, it need to be registered with local authority.

Company also need to get registration under Shop & Establishment act.
