How can I know what is the shareholding pattern of a company (pvt ltd) from MCA website ?

For this you will made inspection on MCA21 portal and check Form-20B in which details of shareholder is mentioned.
Up to 02.11.2013 public inspection on MCA21 is closed there after you can check the same.

Procedure for Inspection of Documents at MCA Portal
1. Logging on www.mca.gov.in
2. Register yourself as registered user.
3. Go Service option
4. Click Inspection public documents
5. Fill the CIN of desired company
6. After showing detail on MCA portal, click on first coloum and wait for payment detail.
7. Pay on line the amount of Rs. 50.
8. Go back on the My document option given on th MCA portal after loging.
9. Inspect the desired documents and down load.
10. This facility will be available only for three hours after payment through online.
