12 November 2009 can a shreholder has right to ask infromation about company in respect of details of employee, assects, customers, accounts etc, please help me it is urgent.

12 November 2009 As a member by following Right to information act you may require any info from the company.

With AGM notice it is duty of the company to provide annual accounts to the shareholders as per section 219 of the companies act, 1956.

12 November 2009 thank you sir , if any member write a letter to company to furnish those information, is it binding on a company to send those information, or what are consequentions

12 November 2009 If u ask info by following Right to information act then it is mandatory for a company to provide desired info.

But there may be rules or act which have overriding effect over Right to information act. Like RBI rules. for example You can not ask from a bank to provide customer info.
