04 September 2011 i want to know diffrence between share holding & voting right ????

06 September 2011 share holding means a person who holds the share of a compay .....but all share holder doesnt get voting rights....... for e.g ....preferance share holder generally not get voting right....and equity share warrant holder are also share holder but they also dont have voting right............so both the terms are different it is not necessary that share holder must have voting right ..aboveexamples shows u the share holder who doesnt have voting right.........

In some cases you may hold the shares of a company in physical form but you are not the shareholder as you have not got the same transferred in your name.
