is there anyway to see the shareholders detail on MCA portal except inspection of annual returns....?

No. That is the only way. You will have to ask for certified copies and pay the relevant fees.

MCA has not provided any facility to see the shareholding of company except public inspection of such company on payment of fee as prescribed.
