if a CA gives consultancy service regarding merger of a company but he did recieve money even after many reminders....is dis incum taxable at the in the hand CA

CA is required to discharge service tax only on collection basis. If, no amount has been realised from the customer for the services rendered, then there is no need to discharge service tax liability.

After the recent amendment brought by Finance Act' 2011 service tax is required to be paid on accrual basis, however exemption has been granted to few categories of services wherein service tax can be deposited on collection basis and CA service is among those exempted services.
