service Tax & VAT on Renewal Warranty

Client has renewed warranty on 29.11.2009 on which service tax @ 10.3% is charged Also dealer has charged VAT on Invoice Amt & service Tax @ 4%. So whether it is possible to charge Service Tax & VAT on same amount simultaneously.

Yes, it is possible to charge so long as the transaction is liable under both laws
