Good Morning.
As per Trade Notice No.13/2007 dated 14/09/2007 issued by Ahmedabad Commissionarate following documents are prescribed for obtaining Service Tax Registration: (1) Copy of PAN Card of assessee (2) Proof of address (a) Telephone Bill (b) Electricity Bill (c) rent aggreement in the name of firm or in the name of a partner (d) passport in case of propriter or partnership firm (3) Partnership deed in case of partership firm (4) Copy of Memorandum of accsiocistion in case of companies.
Address mentioned in Bank Statement cannot be terms as proof od address.
You would find this Trade Notice on page No.1724 of TAMANN's Service Tax Books (2 Volumes) 26 th Edition by Mr S S Gupota.
